Matron of Honor - Alison Krauss
Alison is Emily's beautiful older sister and best friend. Growing up, Emily always wanted to be like her big sister. With an 8 year age difference, being best friends wasn't always in the cards until much later. Emily always loves telling the story about one time when Alison was tasked with babysitting her and took the term a little too literally - by sitting on Emily for hours out of reach of a phone to call their parents. Emily is finally starting to get over that. Some of Emily's favorite memories are when Alison lived in New York City for 10 years and visited during Christmas time. It was always so impressive how Alison navigated the city long before GPS was so easily accessible on phones. Currently, Alison lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband Francis and their two cats, Callie and Stella. Alison is an acheived ballroom dance instructor with Arthur Murray. Emily was the maid of honor in Alison and Francis' wedding and she couldn't imagine anyone else by her side while she marries the love of her life.
Best Man - Jerrell Allen
Jerrell is one of Keith's best friends from Delaware. Jerrell and Keith met one day during football practice in high school, where Keith was highly annoyed with Jerrell's antics. They went on to become great friends who won a football state championship together. Keith and Jerrell frequented Club Kids as teenagers regularly. While Jerrell is a light-hearted individual who rarely takes things seriously, his passion for baseball led him to play for the Kansas City Royals organization right out of high school. Currently, he is still following that passion as a coach for a youth baseball team. Jerrell lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Katya (who has a baby boy on the way!), and their dog Leo. Out of all the laughable moments they have had, Jerrell deciding to hop out of his bedroom window to run away while on punishment, has to be the funniest. Please be sure to ask him for details from this incident when you see him! Keith consideres Jerrell to be his big, younger, and annoying brother and is honored to have him apart of our special day.
