Pete and I met in the spring of 2021 when I was his son, Joseph's, 5th-grade homeroom and English teacher. Joseph and my son, Gavin, played baseball together; Pete and I both attended most games.  It was one day when each of our other friends did not show up for the game that we ended up sitting next to each other. We talked the whole time like we had always known each other.  At the end of the conversation I said to Pete, "You should take my number."  Lol.  I laugh at this because he tells a different, more exxagerated story.  

We started dating in June.  In fact, Pete invited me to join him at church the following Sunday after we chatted it up at that baseball game.  We have been going to church at Restoration Church in Plymouth since then.  We even were rebaptized together this past fall.  

Our first official date, however, was at Love Brewery in Lincoln, New Hampshire. We moved in together in February of 2022 and Pete proposed a couple of weeks later.  Now here we are planning a vacation AND a wedding at Beaches Turks & Caicos in April!
