When life comes full circle....

Chuckie and I met over 30 years ago as kids. He was my brother Dee's childhood friend. He spent alot of time over our house back then. Somehow him and Dee lost contact and my mom worried about his whereabouts for 3 decades. One day I recieved a facebook friend request from Charles Jackson and instantly knew it was him. I invited him to my bonfire to surprise my mom and to hook him up but he refused LOL!! I am so thankful that he refused to let me play match maker LOL! He kept flirting with me but it took me awhile to catch it LOL! He said I was corny and I said his game was weak LOL! We talked all the time. He asked me out and I accepted. Our first date was fun-filled, but that second date sealed the deal for me. It was New Years Eve 2018, I invited him over as a "friend". We ate, drank, and slow danced. Let's just say he passed the test that night LOL! We still debate about who made the first move -vs- who was shy. Since then we became inseparable. A friendship that flourished into a partnership, something invaluable and everlasting. We comforted each other through difficult times, built each other up, and supported each other. My baby, My Chuckie, MINE. The man who makes me feel loved and cared for. The man who makes me feel beautiful and sexy. The man I stare at and still get butterflies. I am so grateful that God saw fit for us to reunite 30 years later. Now we have forever to go.

We reconnected at a time that I wasn't looking for love. We reconnected at a time that I needed a friend. They say there are no second chances at life and love, they were wrong. In all the places to find love, I would have never thought I would find love in a person from my past, a little kid I knew from St. Clair, but I did. As kids me and her brother were best friends. I was like another son to her mom. That's what makes this so special. We started out as friends, talking about life, giving each other advice, comforting each other. Our conversations started off short and then grew to longer and more frequent talks.The more we talked the stronger our friendship and bond grew. We talked about our future and what we wanted in life.  We were beginning a relationship without realizing it. We went on  our first date and became inseparable. Little did we know we were becoming one. In conclusion, I believe in second chances. I believe that things happen for a reason. I believe that life comes full circle. I believe that building a friendship before a relationship is important. I believe we were brought back together for a reason. We needed each other. I used to text her 143 all the time, which mean I LOVE YOU!  To be continued 08/19/2023...
