Story Time: Our First Date Part 1

What was the first date is still up for debate. He says Sushi she says bowling. Both stories are hilarious so here’s both.

Naked Sushi was a party Til had been invited to by a friend. According to Riccardo this was thier first date ( not to Til, it was bowling but we’ll get to that).

Little did he know Til was beyond nervous and changed her outfit what felt like a thousand times as she got thumbs up and down from her crowd of critics. She ended up wearing a cream dress that she borrowed from he cousin (now maid of honor, Kiki). Kiki had previously worn this dress to junior prom and Til was completely over dressed... that’s was a trend she would keep up in the early years of their relationship until he would eventually introduce her to “street wear” lol.

He arrived....

They picked up a his friend, Floyd (the best man) and they were meeting her friend there. On the way there they listened to Floyd’s mixtape (check him out YS on all music platforms) and she was able to witness a completely new side of Riccardo she had never witnessed before.

When they got to the club it was a completely transformed. There were topless waiters and naked women on the tables covered in sushi. Til had to convince Riccardo to try the sushi not a hit... he still won’t eat it til this day.

The friend she was supposed to meet stood her up (they’re not friends anymore, different reason, long story). But they had an amazing time. It seemed like everyone disappeared but the two of them. They laughed about it the whole way home. It was the beginning of many more dates to come...  

Story Time: Proposal

We took a family trip to Walt Disney World for our son’s 10 birthday. His birthday fell on the last day of our 5 day trip. We wanted to end the trip with a bang. Little did I know our trip would start with an even bigger BANG! At the end of our first day I was engaged!!! I was completely surprised . I had no idea it was going to happen. It was so special because I used to work at Disney, my son was included and to top it off it was at the Lion King pavilion which as so beautiful. The Lion King and Peter Pan were my favorite movies when I was younger. And Animal Kingdom where we were was my mom’s , whose deceased, favorite park when I was growing up. (My dad told him). The icing on the cake was that he not only did he propose with a ring but he gave me the Mickey and Minnie wedding trading pin and I’m a long time Disney pin trader. There was so much attention to detail!!! I was completely overjoyed. It was perfect and there were fireworks. Literal fireworks. I wish every woman can one day experience the feeling I felt in that moment!! It was truly magical.  

Story Time: How it all started

You've probably been wondering... so here it goes, the story of how it all started.

He was a high student... as was she but also the teacher’s daughter! This type of love would be forbidden but it didn’t come immediately.

Sounds quite dramatic, right? Well the rumors are true. Mr. York, Til’s dad was Riccardo’s ninth grade English teacher. And they did not see eye to eye. As Mr York was what the kids referred to as an hard ass and Riccardo a class clown.

Who would have thought the gorgeous, light skinned, curvy girl with beautiful long natural hair hanging down her back would’ve been none other than Mr. York’s daughter! But how? She had to be adopted he thought.

But the romance wouldn’t start their. Years pasted Til would graduate and gone to college and Riccardo would do the same. He even befriended her brother. Their paths would continue to cross as they were in and out of each other’s circles. However, their first date wouldn’t take place until 7 years later!
