The Story of Glenn & Sarah:

There is an old story in Chinese folklore about a magical connection between two people that are destined to be soul mates, called the ‘red string of fate.’  The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances.  This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.
Unbeknownst to us, our story actually started in 1992 when Glenn and his family moved to Lincoln off Silver Spur and he attended Carlin C. Coppin for 4thgrade with Mrs. Cook. Sarah was a 7thgrader so our paths never crossed, but we are able to reminisce about all the Lincoln places and oddities.  Brent and Reni would pick blackberries from the bushes on the lower pasture with Glenn. They would often pass Sarah’s house on the way to Camp Far West Lake, and Brent and Reni very clearly remember the community chalkboard at the end of Sarah’s driveway. Glenn’s Boy Scout Camp off Fowler Rd. was just a few driveways down from Sam’s good friend Jack Beam.
Sarah studied in Florence Italy from February 1999 to April 1999, and Glenn and his parents visited Italy in July 1999.
The Smith’s moved to Auburn in July of 1995 and Brent & Reni live there still.  Glenn lived there until he attended college.  In 2001, Sarah moved to Auburn and began working at the Midas Muffler off Hwy 49.  Glenn’s first job was at the Round Table across the street, but he had quit working there in 2000.  Sarah lived off Doer Drive and there was a pond near there that Glenn used to battle his boats at, during the same time period she lived there.  Both Glenn and Sarah attended UNR, although they were in different colleges, Glenn Engineering then Criminal Justice and Sarah Accounting. Glenn graduated June 2006 and Sarah graduated December 2007.
In December 2007, Glenn moved out of his apartment at Sky Valley and Sarah moved into hers in January 2008, the apartments were 88 feet apart.  Glenn moved just to the other side of the freeway into his first townhouse and we shared the same neighborhood stores etc.   We both went our own ways, started careers, got married and lived our lives in near proximity, both in Sparks.  In fact, we both bought our first houses just 6.5 miles apart.  Then we both got divorced and joined match.com. And it was memorial day weekend of 2017 that we were matched, we had our first coffee a week or so later on June 8th, and finally our paths had joined.    Some may say Sarah was pushy, and others may say Glenn dragged his feet, but fate had brought us both to the other end of our red thread and there was really no way to fight the inevitable.  The thread may have tangled along the way, but our souls found each other in the end.  We have formed an amazing family with Glenn, Sarah, Sam and Hailee and we are so happy to share our love and special day with all of you.
