While I do not generally speak of my time in the Army, my last 18 months in the service saw big changes for my life. When I first met RJ in October of 2020, there was so many things happening at that point in my life that I didn't really interact with him much. Even though we did work together, we had very different jobs so there really wasn't much time to get to know one another, and quite honestly, I do not think either one was interested in the other at the time. Fast forward 11 months, and I was taking part in an apprenticeship program at Gulfstream during my last 6 months in the Army. On 11 September 2021 I saw RJ at a dinner party at a coworker’s house. He was very flirty, but in a good way, although I still didn't really pay him much attention as I was on a date that very night. A few days after the dinner party, RJ texted me and over the next month he made me fall in love by doing the corniest of things. It has been amazing, and I am very much looking forward to what we can accomplish together, by committing to each other for the rest of our lives.

As I am writing this, it is hard for me to put into words the love I feel for Jocelyn. The best way to describe it is by giving a brief description of what drew me to her and how we met. Shortly after I moved to Savannah, Georgia, I met Jocelyn while she was still in the Army. Even though we worked together in a manner for over a year, we did not have much interaction for the majority of that time. It wasn't until I saw her at a dinner party that my interest in her grew instantaneously. She didn't give me much room to work with, despite a lot of effort that night. However, when I got home, I could not get her out my mind. From the smile she gave me when I first walked into the house, to the outfit she was wearing, she was branded into my head, and I could not think of anything else. A few days later I messaged her, and the rest is history. It has been a whirlwind in the best of ways, and I know that she has and will continue to bring out the best in me.
